The Southern Illinois Chapter for Healthcare Engineering (SICHE) is an affiliated chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering and is comprised of healthcare and associate members. Healthcare members are employees of a healthcare facility or management organization representing the facility management, plant engineering, clinical engineering, telecommunications, or safety management areas. Associate members represent organizations that provide services or products to healthcare facilities in Southern Illinois.

Founded in 1980, SICHE is a not-for-profit organization organized solely for the purpose of promoting the field of healthcare engineering through educational and networking opportunities for its members.

The mission of the Southern Illinois Chapter for Healthcare Engineering is to advance the field of Healthcare Engineering through the sharing of knowledge and resources.
